Viking SCBA with RIC System and Heads-up display
NFPA 1981, 2002 Edition
In-Mask light Display. (See Demo) A five-light display is built into
the nosepiece inside the facemask. These lights—two green, two
yellow and one red—give you a continuous, accurate readout of
cylinder pressure, end-of-service alarm, radio status, battery status,
and PASS pre-alarm.
The Viking DXL Control Console (See Demo) The Control Console on the
DXL model not only monitors cylinder pressure, but also provides the
Clearest Voice Amplification System as a standard feature, as well
as optional built-in PASS and Radio Interface. The compact console
was designed to allow optimum mobility for the firefighter by eliminating
bothersome external wires and accessories. Finally, a completely hands-free
method of communication that doesn’t get in the way.
The RIC System meets NFPA 1981, 2002 Edition to provide emergency
air to an SCBA for disabled or trapped personnel. Every Viking has
a RIC fitting attached near the handwheel, that allows a downed fire
fighter to have their cylinder filled from an outside source. |
